From the very first years of medical school, I discovered that neurology was the field that resonated with me most deeply. It’s difficult to explain — I simply knew this was the right path. The nervous system governs everything in our body and, in many ways, defines who we are. Later, inspired by the works of Oliver Sacks and Suzanne O’Sullivan, I became even more certain that I had made the right choice.
In addition to neurology, I hold a second specialization in functional diagnostics. I trained in EEG interpretation and developed a particular interest in epilepsy. For two years, I led a neurology department, where I managed a wide range of neurological conditions. Afterwards, I worked as a mentor for a team of neurologists, reviewing their consultations and helping them enhance patient communication and clinical reasoning skills.
I provide diagnosis and treatment for a broad range of neurological conditions, including:
• Headache and dizziness
• Conditions at the intersection of neurology and psychiatry (functional and anxiety disorders)
• Epilepsy
• Back pain and chronic pain syndromes
• Tunnel syndromes and polyneuropathies
• Neurological conditions in older adults (dementia, post-stroke states)
• Multiple sclerosis
• Movement disorders
I believe in a patient-centered, evidence-based approach and in the importance of clear communication. My goal is to help each patient understand their condition and regain control over their health. My native language is Russian, and I am fluent in German. While I understand English, I currently provide consultations in Russian and German.
