I 've never thought that i would become a doctor. Since my childhood i was more interested in art, theatre and music. It's challenging to choose a lifelong career when you are 16 years old, so my mother made that decision for me. The first three years of medical school were the toughest time of my life. All these chemistry and physics classes were so boring and hard. I wanted to quit a couple of times. When clinical disciplines started i realized that it's more interesting then i thought. One day professor told me that "every patient is a puzzle you need to solve using all possible methods".
At that moment i understood that medicine is the coolest thing on earth to me and i am so gratefull for my mom for that decision.
I enjoy my specialty: internal medicine, the foundation of medicine. I love interacting with patients, piecing together the puzzle of their various complaints and symptoms. Sometimes they are interconnected, and the answer becomes clear. Other times, the puzzle is more complex than you thought initally , and you need the help of colleagues.
But the most important aspect of my work is the communication with my patients. I strive to become a trusted face, a medical buddy, guiding them through the world of medicine.
